About Hanover, VA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Hanover County, Virginia is a nice place to live, work or play. Its low taxes on real estate property make it a competitive choice for both business and personal real estate purchases. Businesses who have taken advantage of these low tax rates include The Vitamin Shoppe, FedEx and Bass Pro Shops. Therefore, this county also offers quite a few jobs. This combined with moderate weather and a relatively low crime rate make this a great place to live.
Nearby Richmond offers lots to do whether you visit in the warmth of the summer or the cold of the winter. You can visit numerous historical sites, museums and more in the cooler months. In the sunny, warm summer and spring you can check out the numerous gardens and parks in the city. There is truly something for every season of the year and you will never be bored.
If history is of interest to you then this part of the world is right up your alley. There is no shortage of history in this county and the surrounding towns. One such historic site is The Violet Bank Museum. This house has been a private estate, a farm, a library and, yes, a bank in its time. Its most notable incarnation, perhaps, was as General Robert E. Lee’s headquarters during the Civil War. Tour the grounds in the winter and you may see snow. Visit during the warmer months and you will be able to step back in time and experience it as it was experienced by General E. Lee. This is where he received word of the beginnings of the Battle of Crater (which took place in the summer of 1864.)
